Entrance on east side of SH1 about 500 metres south of crossroads (with McQueen Road), in Cheviot. Alternatively, follow McQueen Road eastwards, then turn onto Gore Bay Road; entrance on right in ca. 1 km.
Description
This historic reserve is worth exploring. As well as a varied walk through parkland trees, it includes the sort of cricket pitch that every village cricketer would love to play on, as well as the sites and remains from its early sheep station days. The cycle way/footpath along Gore Bay Road offers the chance to extend the walk into a longer loop trip.
