Walk starts on Rahu Saddle, on SH7 about 8 km west of Springs Junction.
Description
Two tracks, offering stiff climbs up through bushland, onto the open tussockland of the Victoria Ranges. Worth it for the spectacular views. The Valley Route is the easier and longer and takes you up to some tarns; for well-provisioned novices this offers a manageable there-and-back route. The spur route is shorter and harder. For seasoned trampers, the two may be linked via some cross-country way-finding along the spur, to form a loop route.
