Access either from the carpark at Hoddy Estuary reserve, signposted off SH60, or at the small parking area at the end of Research Orchard Road (opposite Ridgeview Road) about 300 metres down SH60. |
Description |
An interesting place to walk and let the dogs run free. From the grassy slope of Hoddy Estuary Reserve, there's a public right-of-way that runs around the lake, and through the remains of the heritage orchard and then along the grassy edge of the land b around the headland to the end of Research Orchard Road (keep dogs on lead for this section). After a wander through an areaa of new wetland planting, there's some more grassy areas that are dog-friendly, though at this end of the walk there are nesting birds, so dogs should still be on a lead. |
