Description |
This walk starts along a shared driveway signposted for Frog Rock, which takes you past the dump station. After that things improve and you wind your way up onto a rocky outcrop above the Clutha River. From here you can follow the path either left (clockwise) or right (anticlockwise) around the loop section. The anticlockwise circuit has slight advantages because you get to the lookout by the more direct route, though after that it's a steep descent to the river before you loop back and climb more gently to rejoin the access path. There are good views on the way, and picnic tables to linger at, so you can take your time. |
