Description |
The Northern Forest section of the East Harbour Regional Park is the only part of this park that's dog-friendly. Even so, there are lots of walks to explore, for the forests contain at least 8 tracks, providing some 50 km or more of walks. For an easy loop walk, take the 5 km Lowry Bay loop in the very north of the park. For something a bit more strenuous, the 4km Trig Loop is a good option and is never more than moderate in difficulty. But the big challenge is the Traverse - a one-way walk of 13 km from the Bus Barn Track in the very south to Wainouiomata in the north. |
