Description |
A short and easy walk through west-coast beech forest, up and over a bluff to a hidden lake. The lake is not spectacular, and sadly you can't walk around it, but it has an interesting story to tell. It was created in 1929 when the Murchison earthquake caused a landslide which blocked the river. On still, sunny days, the glassy waters of the lake provide an especially tranquil scene. |
