Car parks at either end. North: take Hook Swamp Road off Waimate Highway, then turn right onto Hook Beach Road and continue to end. South: take Foleys Road off Waimate Highway, turn left onto Hannaton Road, then right onto Poingdestres Road, and continue to end.
Description
Flat and to some degree unrelenting, this walk follows the shoreline and a gravel bar past a large, natural lagoon. Lots of birdlife.
