From Nelson, take Waimea Road and turn off eastwards on Market Street (just before Bishopdale Reserve). Continue on Market Street for ca 800 metres to car park on left. Alternatively, the walks can be accessed from Tutuka Street (off Waimea Road), or the corner off van Diemen Street-Trafalgar Street, or at the southern end of Collingwood Street in Nelson. Quite a few stiff climbs, but rewarded with good views of the coast. |
Description |
A great selection of short tracks, including grassy glades, beech woodland, boardwalks and a climb up to a summerhouse offering views to the sea. To extend the walk further, cross SH6 and walk along the riverside track to Baigent Reserve or head up 88 Vallewy Road for a short distance to Robson Reserve. |
