For its area of 17 hectares, Faulkner Bush manages to pack in an impressive variety of landscapes, and an abundance of footpaths, all of which are dog-friendly. It includes flat, grassy glades and hillsides, where the dogs can run free, areas of bush through which shady paths meander and loop, wetlands crossed by boardwalks, and an open picnic area with tables and benches and plenty of play-space. With the exception of the picnic area (which is on-lead), the whole park is off-leash, and many parts are fenced in to provide safe, enclosed exercise areas.
If you're content to wander and explore the various paths, it's easy to lose yourself for an hour here. But if you want a brief workout, then head up through the woodland to the covered lookout on the summit, and take in the views.
