DescriptionPureora Forest is a large area of dog-friendly land, much loved by hunters, but open also to walkers and cyclists. Dogs are permitted, but a permit must firts be obtained from the area DoC office at Maniapoto.
Most of the good walks are on the western side of the forest. On the east, there is one main walk which sets out from the river bridge on the SH32 and follows the Waihaha River to the Waihaha tramping hut. |
